JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT
We seek an enthusiastic and detail-oriented IT Engineer to support and monitor our hybrid IT infrastructure, combining Microsoft Azure cloud services and on-premise systems. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring system performance, responding to alerts, and gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment. KEY DELIVERABLES:

| – Monitor the performance and availability of Azure cloud services and on-premise systems.
– Respond to alerts and assist in diagnosing basic technical issues within the hybrid IT infrastructure. – Perform routine checks on servers, networks, and applications to ensure functionality and stability. – Assist in maintaining logs and records of system performance and incidents for reporting purposes. – Collaborate with the IT team to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues as needed. – Support the implementation of updates and patches under the guidance of senior engineers. – Provide basic support for user account management, including Azure Active Directory tasks. – Learn and familiarise yourself with hybrid IT systems, tools, and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Alternatively: Relevant work experience and certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Storage).
- Familiarity with on-premise IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and virtualisation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
